Q: question about aripiprazole (abilify) tablets?
I am about to start taking ARIPIPRAZOLE (ABILIFY) tablets in conjunction with seroquil have you done this?
my psychiatrist has just given me these new tablets to try mainly because i was putting on so much weight on just the seroquil

have you taken these tablets before, i need them for PT SD OCD panic attacks and depression

if you could tell me how you got on i am hoping i will feel a bit more part of life on them as at the moment i am just existing

thanks for your answers

A: I’m on albilify and seroquel now. have been since xmas.
seems ok but have noticed Im a bit more irritable but am more alert and awake than I was on seroquel and risperadol. Also I’ve started to lose some of the weight I’ve put on with the other medications I’ve had to take.

You will feel more alive, I can actually imagine myself doing things now and I’m getting them done instead of it just being too hard to even think about them.

All you can do is try it.
Good luck

A: Yes I have taken aripiprazole along with Quetiapene (Seroquel). It didnt work for me but everyone is different – it just didnt help my mood or anxiety. I am now on Duloxetine with the seroquel and it has made a great difference, but you just cant say what will work for other people. Hope it works for you!

Q: I want to know the status of a person who is taking tablets such DIFORM 500, TEXY, MANOPROLOL & ARIPIPRAZOLE?
can any of the Psychological doctors answer me

A: Diform 500 : Metformin, for diabetes

Texy – Artane, for Parkinson’s disease

Manoprolol – propanalol, for high BP, migraines,

ARIPIPRAZOLE – antipsychotic, multiple uses

So, the patient likely has diabetes, Parkinson’s, high BP, and mental health issues

Q: Abilify [Aripiprazole]…Who takes it or has tried it?
My doctor gave me 5mg Tablets today to try for a while because I didn’t like taking Lithium…[Which he wanted me to take the Abilify and the Lithium together, but I don't want to, lol.] If you’ve tried Abilify, please tell me about it. Did it work? What side effects did you get? Etc. Thanks!
I’m taking it for Bi-Polar also, what is everyone else taking it for? I just read on medicinenet.com that it’s used for Schizophrenia?

A: Haven’t used it personally, but we’ve started a number of our patients on it (India). By far the reports are promising. We give it our patients with either schizophrenia or psychosis but also to some of our bipolar patients who respond very well to it. It’s got a very different mode of action and far far less side-effects than so many of the other neuroleptics (Clozaril, Seroquel etc).

If you do take Lithium, I’m sure you’re doc would have told you, but you would need to have frequent tests to monitor the levels of Lithium in your system because it has a very low toxic:therapeutic ratio.

Hope this helps you in some way.

Q: Why aren’t I losing weight?
I’m 16 years of age, 173cms, and I weigh 70kgs. I’m on Aripiprazole and Fluoxetine tablets. For two weeks, I have carefully watched my diet, exercised on my exercise bike – I burn anywhere between 200 and 400 calories a day – and I haven’t lost a single pound. I recently discovered that the Amulsulpride I was on had a weight gain side effect, so I’ve stopped taking it. I also know that Aripiprazole has a very, very rare – less than 1 in 10′000 people have it – weight gain side effect. I weighed myself yesterday – eleven stone exactly. I just weighed myself now – 11 stone 5. What the hell is going on with my weight and how do I slim down to 64kgs?
Also, I am a severe haemophiliac and can’t do most sports.
I don’t have a man’s intake of 2500 calories and I’ve just burned 255 calories just now. I burned 150 earlier and 200 in the morning. And that’s all happened today. Good enough?

A: you are not losing wait because you are gaining muscles
